Words of Encouragement

I get LOTS of email from many sources and on many subjects. Sometimes, in the midst of all the business dealings, newsletters and reminders to pay bills, someone will send me an inspirational quote or some other such message to lift my spirits.

I received some words of motivation and encouragement from Lavonne last month and thought I would share them with you in the hopes that someone may be inspired. I don't know Lavonne and I think this may have been misdirected because it was obviously intended for a farmer friend of hers who may be having trouble with his crop. I’m not a farmer and not sure why she sent it to me because I’m not having any trouble with my corn.

I know sometimes farmers must get down and blue when they have trouble with their crops, banks forclosing on their farms and such. Hopefully these words can give them the rise they need and they will be encouraged to grow their corn really big.

Farmers work long and hard to put food on our tables and we tend to take them for granted. I'm sure any farmer would take pride in offering up his large, juicy corn to consumers and Lavonne just wants to encourage them to do so. Lavonne must enjoy eating corn often and probaly gobbles it up as often as she can.

Well, I just wanted to share that with any of you farmers out there who are having trouble with your corn. Don’t despair! Grow your corn really big and be THE MAN!!

NOTE: There was a link in the email as well, but I think Lavonne made a mistake because the website had absolutely nothing to do with corn or horticulture at all!
