World's Cheapest Car Nano -- A Boon or a Bane ??
posted January 10, 2008 - 5:52amWill Nano prove to be a boon or a bane for Indians? Tata motors today launched the cheapest car ever, priced at $2500, christened Nano. Although it's a really good news for those who could afford a car until now and had to to satisfied with a bike instead, it's launch harbingers some worries, rather nightmares according to it's critics.
Now that millions can fulfill their dream of owning a car, the repercussions will be that these cars will now inundated the Indian roads which are already chock-a-block with vehicles, and that poses traffic control issues for the government. Secondly, with millions of the Nano cars running on the roads the air pollution and noise pollution levels will increase substantially, which is a literal nightmare for the environmentalists.
So, while Ratan Tata has fulfilled his promise by launching this $2500 car for the common middle-class man, the complimentary hazardous repercussions becomes a headache for everyone that needs to be warded off.
