World's Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, AZ
Prescott is having its Prescott Rodeo Days June 30th through July 5th at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds at 840 Rodeo Drive. The parade starts at the Courhouse Plaza, and the rodeo dance is in the parking lot of the M&I Bank at 303 N Montezuma Street in Prescott. Rodeo tickets are $12-$22. Parking is $5, and the dance is $5 at the door.

Prescott used to the the capital of the old Arizona territory and in 1866 Prescott businessmen came up with the Fourth of July cowboy contest and this evolved into the Prescott Frontier Days & the World's Oldest Rodeo.
The rodeo dance runs from 8 pm to 1 am July 3,4, and 5. The Prescott Frontier Days Fine Arts & Crafts Show is July 4-6 at the Courthouse Plaza, The rodeo is at 7:30 pm, and 1:30 pm July 4 and 5.
There will be saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, tie-down roping steer wrestling, team roping, teambronc riding, and bull riding. And of course rodeo clowns, and daredevil motorcross tricks.
