X is not Sex 2

Damn! Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn! I was wrong. X is sex. There you all are, listening to me, hearing me say, "X is not sex" and there you are, laughing up your sleeves. You were all saying to yourselves, "He's forgotten
about his genes". I don't mean jeans, as in wearing jeans, I'm referring to the genes in one's jeans.
In terms of chromosomes, a female is an XX while a male is an XY. So there you have it, not only is X sex, but so is Y. But why, you then ask, is a woman XX? Well, there we come back to maths. "Let x be the unknown". XX doubles, or squares, the unknown. In other word, a total mystery! So we have proved mathematically what we have always known intuitively, that woman is a total mystery.
Why is man XY? Well, of course, there is a little bit of the unknown in man, hence the X. But there is also the logic, the relentless "why, why, why". Hence the Y.
I sent a more formal version of this research to an academic journal. I used the expression: y=f(x). This is normally read as y is a function of x. By now, of course, you know what sort of function that f represents. I spelt that out. My paper was knocked back. I don't know, these academics. They prefer that sex remain an unknown. I'm sorry, did I say sex. Of course, you all know that I really meant x.
