Xbox 360 Red Light

Did your Xbox 360 just die on you? The dreaded Xbox 360 Red Light, also known as the Red Ring of Death is plaguing many Xbox owners both new and old. This happened to me right in the middle of an all night session of Halo 4. I was totally annoyed and wasn't sure what to do (There was no way I could just run out and buy a new console!). So I took a look around online and found this problem was widespread among Xbox users everywhere, and during this research I also some innovative guys had found some ways to fix it.

There is of course always the option of sending the Xbox back to the Microsoft repair center in Texas. The problem with this is you are looking at around a 4 week turnaround time in order to get you Xbox back. Plus shipping charges also can add up to over $100.

A must faster approach (particularly if your Xbox is no longer under warranty) is to pick up a decent Do-It-Yourself guide whereby users can solve the Xbox 360 Red Light quirk within around 1 hour of hands on Xbox time. The problem with the Xbox Red Light coming on is actually a straight forward fix, there are no special tools required hence a step by step process is quite easy to follow by those who may not have a high level of technical competency (especially with electronics).

Whilst the Xbox 360 is a great gaming platform when up and running, it really is a shame the red light problem is so frequently found amongst the hardware. Be sure to do some research and check out which guide sounds best for you to follow in order to get your Xbox 360 back on track.
