The Xbox 360 has been plagued with problems since the day it was released in the U.S.  I have had my 360 for about a year and a half and it recently came down with the three flashing red lights known by the video game world as the Red Ring of Death.  Luckly, Microsoft has extended the warranty for 360s that get the RROD from one year to three years.  Using www.xbox.com I was able to send my 360 to Microsoft to be fixed.  The process took only a couple of weeks and my 360 was delivered back to me today.  Microsoft even gave me one free month of Xbox Live for my troubles!  The whole repair and shipping both ways were free, you only have to provide a box to ship it to them.  i suggest anyone with the RROD send it in and have Microsoft fix it rather than do it yourself or have a shop fix it which can end up banning you from Xbox Live if not done correctly.
