Xbox 360 Review
posted May 14, 2009 - 11:16amThe Xbox 360 was developed by the Microsoft Corporation. This video game console is considered to be 1 of the top 3 video game consoles in the market. The other two consoles are the Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. This article will describe what makes the Xbox 360 one of the top video game systems on the market.
There are primarily three different versions of the Xbox 360, the 20G, 60G or 120G. There are also several different sales types, Xbox 360 Core (no longer made), Xbox 360 Arcade (256MB Flash), Xbox 360 Pro (20G or 60G), & Xbox 360 Elite (120G). Various other versions have been made eclusively for games such as Halo 3, Simpsons, & Resident Evil.
The Xbox 360 Arcade is the basic Xbox version and it includes a wireless controller, composite AV cable, an HDMI output, and an internal 256 MB memory chip. This unit is the bare bones model of the Xbox 360.
The Xbox 360 Pro includes all the features of the Xbox 360 Arcade but also has a component cable with optional optical out. The Xbox Pro has a detachable 60 GB Drive that allows the user to store more game information, downloaded data, and music.
The Xbox 360 Elite is the premier Xbox consoles and it has a 120 GB hard drive and a black case. The elite also has an HDMI cable and a controller/headset that match the console.
There are several games that can only be found exclusively on the Xbox 360 such as Halo 3, Gears of War 2, Fable II, & Halo Wars. For a full list of games only found on Xbox 360 check out Wikipedia.
The Xbox 360 has a wide array of accessories available. There are wireless and wired controllers, headsets, remotes, faceplates, wireless antenna, and three sizes of hard drives that can be installed (20GB, 60GB, & 120GB).
Microsoft has recently opened an online video store which allows you to access movies through the console. Netflix is also compatible with the Xbox 360 and one can download movies from their site using the Xbox 360.
