Xomba Blog | Contest, Features and Firefox

With Nick out of the office today, you will have to settle for receiving your mid-week blog from your friendly Community Relations Manager, Jeremy (or to some of you Baldwin or to other Xomba Moderator).

First up I just wanted to remind everyone that the Xomba Is Green With Envy contest is still going until the end of August. So if you haven't entered yet make sure to do so by the 31st.

With have lots of great entries so far and you can view them here .

It's Thursday so new features have made it to the front page including a Xomba exclusive interview with Canadian rock band, The Cliks. Make sure to head over to the front page and check them all out now.

Finally, it was brought to our attention earlier today that Xomba had a few formatting issues when viewed in Internet Explorer 6.0, which is an older version of Internet Explorer. Myself and Nick do our best at making sure Xomba looks great in all browser but we highly recommend that Xomba users make the switch to Firefox with Google Toolbar. This is the browser that we use plus the Google Toolbar let you see the Page Rank for every web site you visit. You can download Firefox with the Google Toolbar for free at the link below.

We've been really busy over the last week thanks to the Olympics. I know some of you are really making some extra cash. I'm proud to say that out of all the revenue sharing sites we rank the highest on Google. That's great news for all of us. How a small company like Xomba is beating the big companies out there with millions of dollars is beyond me, but we're doing it. As far as revenue share goes Xomba is your best bet for the highest rankings in Google. Don't worry we're about to step that up a notch as well. Have a great weekend.

Firefox is Free and it's Better than IE

I made the switch to Firefox about nine months ago and I have yet to regret that decision. Even when I used IE 7.0 (gotta love those Tabs!), I found that it didn't take long with also using XP to start having issues with my CPU being run out to 100% as part of an issue with 7.0. After the second time I had to reformat my C drive, I decided to stay with IE 6.0 and just not use it anymore. By downloading Firefox, I get my tabs and I get better performance with my browser. (The Google Toolbar is just a bonus!) I've already read so many good Xomba Green articles--I am really looking forward to seeing more written by our talented Xombie membership. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?
