Xomba Blog | Feature Writers Wanted

Hi Everybody,

Great news!

Starting today we're taking applications for our upcoming feature writing program.

Each category page will be unique upon receiving a complete makeover. Featured writers will be listed side by side on the top of the page. Two writers per category. Displayed will be your user picture a short bio and a link to your recent Xombyte in that category and a more link to the rest of them.

We're talking about two hot prime time spots per category.

The requirements to be a featured writer are as follows; You must post at least (1) Xombyte every (2) weeks for the category you are being featured. You must include an image with every Xombyte post for that category.

You may still post to other categories whether it be Bytes or Blurbs.

Compensation is still just 50/50 on the Adsense for now. However, you will get tons more exposure for yourself being a featured writer.

To Apply: Please contact us with your name, user name, the category(s) you are interested in being featured for (PLEASE LIMIT 2), links to samples of your work relating to the category you choose.

Could Start an FW-Check/Balance @nick-prism

If one of the FWs (Featured Writers) sees an un-FW who might deserve to be an FW, `e could submit the writer to the other FW as a replacement (for either `mself or the other FW, which `e would indicate in the submission). If the other FW agrees that the replacement would be good, the replacement is made; if not, the submission stays on the table until either the writer is featured elsewhere or the submitting FW recants the submission in favor of another writer. It could be worse...

When an article of mine was plagiarised I found it as it ranked higher in searches than mine - maddening. The title hadn't even been changed - the entire article was just cut and paste. At the foot was a link to the original (my article) as if this was a sop to me - who would re-read the entire article? The worst thing was - what really made me angry - was my article was generating the thief adsense. Second worse - there was no way of contacting the thief and venting. Which Xombyte (from the original nominations) has replaced it? Has it been replaced yet? I know which one I'd choose...
