Xomba Blog: Happy Halloween!
posted October 30, 2009 - 2:16pmHello everyone,
Happy eve of Halloween! We are very excited for this weekend! Is anyone doing anything fun for the holiday?
We are back from the University of North Florida! It turned out to be a huge success. We had around 200 students come to our table, register for Xomba, and get a T-shirt. The college students loved all of our T-shirt designs and they seemed to be really excited about the concept of Xomba. We should start to see some new traffic because not only did all of the students sign up, but they will be wearing their Xomba shirts around campus. Hopefully these shirts will become a conversation piece and help spread the word about Xomba!

Xomba would like to give a formal "Welcome" to all of our new Xomba members! We hope you all enjoy the site!
Xomba would also like to welcome Kakraba! Kakraba is a new user on Xomba. Today is his 2 week anniversary on Xomba. For anyone who likes poetry, this is a great user to check out. He has posted over 25 pieces of well-written poetry on Xomba and we are very excited to have him join our community!
Do you know about a new member that you think should be featured in the Xomba Blog? Please let us know. We would like to know who you think is improving the Xomba community.
Guess what...We have moved gone up a point in Google Pagerank! We went from a 4 to a 5! Do you know what that means? More traffic for you!
Writing Tip: Check your calenders, the Holiday season is here! The beginning of November is when people start to think about the holiday season and everything that comes with it. If you have recipes for Thanksgiving, gift ideas for Christmas and Hanukkah, or even deals for Black Friday, now we be the time to start to start writin!.
Are you dressing up for Halloween? Let us know what you have decided to dress up as. Here's an idea...why not dress up as Abmox? :-)
We hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.
As always, if you have any questions you are more than welcome to contact us at anytime.

turn your halloween skulls into a stylish codpiece
many of the most stylish Hollywood stars (men and women) will be wearing codpieces made by Damien Hirst. I've put a link to a comprehensive Xombyte about how to make your own in this illustrated article:

Not all Xomba writers can afford Hirst's enormous prices for these must have fashion accessories - but they do go well with the new Xomba Tshirts

Interesting costume - why don't you put up pics - of your costume and the graveyard jac-o-lantern!
Xomba seems to be on a roll!

Here's an idea
Xomba Admin should come to my town and have a Xomba booth where I can get a free t-shirt....we have a large college campus here in town. I am absolutely loving the E.T. Tee, as well as the Ninja Turtles Tee, your ideas for these t-shirts are awesome!!! I'm thinking we are all children of the 80's, early 90's!
My sister and I rode a "Terror Train" last weekend in Duluth, MN. The historical train carried only passengers in costume that night. I was Winter and she was Fall- we made quite a pair as usual :) Tommorow on Halloween my family and I will be attending our first Halloween wedding, no costumes, it should be nice though. We just spent 20 hours trying to get from Bemidji, MN to North Bay, Ontario, Cananda. Every single flight was delayed hours upon hours. We nearly lost our sanity and are happy to be at the folk's safe and sound -Finally.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN FELLOW XOMBIES!!!

I am wearing a pumpkin t shirt!
I am wearing a pumpkin T shirt like the one I talked about in my xomba article.
http://www.xomba.com/how_make_tshirt_transfer_halloween_costume
But I admit I didn't make it myself. My Mom had it made for me with fabric paint. But I am wearing an orange wig with a green stem, and pumpkin earrings, that used to glow in the dark before the battery died!
I am going to a neighborhood Halloween block party. My neighbor is in the foam roofing insulation business and has built a giant Jack O'Lantern as big as his house which sits in a graveyard that used to be his front yard. It is to delight the kids, and advertise his foam roofing business. A strobe light makes it breath fire. I guess I should try to upload a picture but I'm not too graphic savy!

I guess...
Kristen,
I guess you know by me saying I would like to have a T-shirt that I love the site. I hope you know it, because I surely do. I love it better than any other site that I have ever posted on.

Nick,
I sure would love to have a T-shirt like Saffire Yin wears in her photo, but I don't dress up for Halloween, so what would one like it cost me?

Abmox Dress Up?
I'll raise the stakes on that. If you dress up as abmox for Halloween and send us a picture out and about then we'll send you a free T-shirt.
We might have to roll that contest out next year.
