Xomba Blog | New Help Section
Hi Everybody,
We just finished adding 4 new Featured Xombytes to the front page.
Just in time for father's day Peter bring us the story of Superman's real father. A children's book based around the creator's of the Man of Steel.
Are you one of the lucky ones taking a vacation to Europe this summer? You might find our feature about trekking through Europe on a budget useful.
Where did those negative campaigns come from and how did they get so popular? Tony delves into the dangerous realm of politics on Xomba with his feature. I bet it gets 50 comments by Monday. Anyone, taking that?
And finally we take a look at Bad Karma. All that bullying you did as a child is coming back to haunt you!
We are in the process of working on a new help section and several In-Depth guides on all the features found on Xomba.
Make sure you check it out, head over to the help section right now. One of the guides we'll be writing will contain some tips on hyperlinking and using HTML/BBC codes. Stay tuned for that one.
On a final note, we want to address some issues we're having with a few people advertising on their Xombytes and Xomblurbs.
We're okay with you adding a link or two at the end of your bytes/blurbs, but let's keep it to a minimum.
The ad shouldn't be longer than the post.
Let's keep to a maximum of two lines.
Thanks and have a great weekend,
Nick and Jeremy
Come on I slaved all week on those In-Depth guides.
Has anyone read them yet?
Good, I was getting worried that either A. They weren't useful OR B. They were poorly written.
The next one I'm going to try to finish is Posting a Xombyte/Blurb
Including how to post an image. Which has to be the most confusing thing on here.
I'm a little confused about how to upload my own images to my articles. I'll look forward to reading that.
Nick, i actually read through the help files. I think you covered almost everything. One small thing though.... On the first page on
Keep up the good work!

DO the Write Thing & Get Paid Here
Nick and Jeremy,
Now that you are focusing on "highest rated posts" it would be a good idea to showcase the "All Time Highest Rated Posts" also in the profile page of every user. That way, we get to see even the older posts (the better ones) of each user?
Just a suggestion. You had it earlier in the form of bytes and blurbs.
Images aren't too bad once you do it once...Your rule posting is good I'm just a bit stubborn about the link thing but I will come around I promise;)

We're more concerned about Xombytes and ads.
We care because people don't want to see a bunch of ads when reading your article.
Let's face it the Google Ads are already there.
We want your Xombytes to look professional and reflect how truly awesome articles are on Xomba.
Trust me, I'm not working on Friday night. I'm actually reading and acting like a real Xomba user. I don't get to read everything during the week.
I'm using Xomba right now because I love it and have fun commenting and reading.
:)
Ouch...fingers still smarting...lol. Okay stubborness has receded...turning over a new leaf now Nick.
I hear you on the image upload thing, once you get pass figuring it out for the first time you'll be okay. But I had a heck of a time getting it together--its not to awful once you get the swing of it.
**But I have a question about people writing articles to sell their product or someone elses; are people allowed to do this? I don't particular care for it.

Just read through the Beginner section. It was really good and the examples really help. Good Job.
