Xomba Blog: Super Bowl and Updates to Our FAQ

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to take a few minutes and talk to you guys about the Superbowl on Sunday. We suspect we'll get a great deal of traffic this Sunday and that means money to be made. We highly recommend you consider writing a Xombyte about the Superbowl including food, parties, the teams involved, history and anything else you can brainstorm. You really should try to get your article posted before Friday to make sure it gets indexed by Google. Read more about making money on Xomba by clicking on our make money guide.

We updated our FAQ slightly and wanted to show you what we added. No big surprises, but wanted to keep you guys informed. Just for the record we have NOT changed any policies. You can read the two new questions at:

Who holds the copyright to articles posted on Xomba?

What if I suspect a Xomba user is posting my content on Xomba.com?

The site redesign is coming along. We should be moving into test phase very soon now. We got to see a couple of development screenshots recently and everything looks great.

As soon as we get to test stage we'll post a few images on the blog for you guys to check out.

See you later in the week,
Nick

Xombytes

Holy Denial, Batman!

It's amazing that there are people out there who feel the world owes them something. Here you have Xomba where you guys do all the work on your end so all we users have to do is create original content or find cool sites to bookmark. And, it's free to sign-up. Simple and it works. Abide by the fairly-enforced rules, post articles, and make money. I was going to say that they could just create their own website and put all the work themselves, if they are not happy, but we are talking about people who are plagiarizing other people's original work product and posting it to websites/blogs where other people do all the work to maintain it. Not exactly the textbook definition of an industrious self-starter. You guys do a heck of a job keeping things not just going but making sure that it's easy for us on this end to write and make money. I don't envy what you face each day that we don't get to read on your Xomba Blog. JOIN US IN TOASTING YOUR FUTURE SUCCESS!

Do You Have Any Change?

Yes, if the words are different then it is allowed. I'm talking more about someone coming to Xomba and posting content word for word from another website that is not theirs.

Beautiful Morning

God knows I don't like to wake up in the morning and see the site attacked by spammers but to get nasty emails on top of that really makes my day.

I Got Banned From Xomba

Ok, so if you get banned on Xomba most likely it is because plagiarized. You will need to email us (politely) and ask us why you have been banned. When you sign up for your account you HAVE to check the box next to the (I will only post my original content.) The other reasons you have been banned are most likely because you were spamming or posting scams (including making $3000 dollars a day by buying some e-book). The following email is NOT the correct way to ask why your account has been blocked/banned. We removed the user's personal info. "i cant login to my account, and if i am banned from this site you are going to get tonnes and TONNES OF BAD REVIEWS ON THE SEARCH ENGINE UNDER EVERY KEYWORD I CAN THINK OF YOU WILL LOSE SO MUCH CREDIBILITY BECAUSE I KNOW YOU DO RIP PEOPLE OFF MY PAGE VIEWS DO NOT EQUATE TO THE AMOUNT OF ADSENSE IMPRESSIONS I GET NOT EVEN HALF NOT EVEN NEAR HALF , MAYBE 10 PERCENT!!!!!!!!! AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE ON YOUR SITE ABOUT THIS IF YOU SCREW WITH ME I WANT MY ACCOUNT RESTORED ASAP.. PLUS IF YOU KEEP MY ACCOUNT BANNED AND MY ARTICLES ON YOUR SITE YOU ARE GOING TO BE HEARING FROM MY ATTOURNEY CAPICHE?" Capiche?....Really? Be polite. We accept the fact we can make mistakes. And whatever you do never threaten us with "tonnes of bad reviews".

Super Bowl parties

Maybe you're thinking of parties at which the hosts charge admission. That's definitely illegal, because they are charging to watch a copyrighted broadcast. That's why leagues have that message at the end of games, "any use of the pictures, descriptions, and accounts of this this game, including charging an admission, without the express written consent of the NFL is strictly prohibited." Or something to that effect.

Yeah but

Even though that make sense the NFL goes after anyone proclaiming to have a Superbowl party and notice that you can have your TV delivered before the big game but not the superbowl. The NFL is super crazy about use of Superbowl (hey is that what superman ate out of?) Visit my homepage here

Super Bowl

is two words (just checked the NFL.com site), so saying Superbowl shouldn't be a problem. And I can't imagine that you wouldn't be able to use Super Bowl in a post either, although creating your own game or sport and calling it the Super Bowl would be another matter. Mentioning Harry Potter is no problem, but writing a fiction story and calling it Harry Potter might present a problem.

Speaking of copyright infringement,

The other day I met a friend of mine and said, "Hey, whatup man!" Does that mean I have to pay Darrell a nickel?
