Xomba Blog | This Blog Brought To You By Google Chrome

So I'm writing this new blog entry while surfing on Google Chrome and I must say that my first impression is a good one. It has a nice sleek design, it is open source and it loads pages really fast. I've never seen Xomba load so fast before. For anyone interested you can download Google chrome here:

http://www.google.com/chrome

In other news there is another Hurricane in the vicinity of Jacksonville, Fl so Xomba HQ is on alert...again. Don't worry the Xomba servers are located in an undisclosed location. I think they are protected underground by the Mole Man. See here he is:

Hmm, looks like he might have other plans. Oh well.

In other news three news features have made their way to the front page today. The topics include the new film Hamlet 2, cell phone dangers and the ongoing eco-craze that is sweeping the nation.

I also wanted to congratulate Publius on his 2 year anniversary with Xomba. Thank you for your support during all of our ups and downs. Check out his 2 year analysis here:

That is why jdubhub has 'his ear to the ground,' to hear the trample of orc-spirits as they invade the mushy brains of our Republicrat- and Demoran-leaders! ... but Uncle MythMan still KNOWS you're more awesome than NFL Cheerleaders, yet needs to hear *your* comments on http://is.gd/2s8V http://is.gd/22wY http://is.gd/1fSs http://is.gd/1fRg http://is.gd/1fSe & http://is.gd/1fSj -- Click His Stamp to Discover!

i.e firefox

never liked it myself. I use Avast and Ad-aware. I've never had a problem.

@nic|Maybe This Is Just an Idea for an Entry in Some Other`N ...

But what about a "Xomba Superhero" in which--rather than 'comparing ourselves to one that already exists'--we write stories in which we (one of us, another one of us, or a whole duo/trio/team of us Xombies) go out and 'fight crime/stupidity'! 'jdub, the boy wonder!' ... no? okay, 'Wonder Wrawnak!' ... but Uncle MythMan still KNOWS you're more awesome than NFL Cheerleaders, yet needs to hear *your* comments on http://is.gd/2s8V http://is.gd/22wY http://is.gd/1fSs http://is.gd/1fRg http://is.gd/1fSe & http://is.gd/1fSj -- Click His Stamp to Discover!

Chrome loads pages faster than firefox

You are right Nick. I am quite satisfied with Chrome as it performs faster than firefox and explorer. http://www.xomba.com/google_chrome_in_my_desktop_now_and_i_am_fully_satisified_with_the_result

Thank you, Wdzzz!

I see it as kind of a dream-building exercise, too, since it helps each person stretch the limits of his or her imagination for what we want to accomplish in this lifetime. No restrictions=the freedom to think beyond current circumstances. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

@ jdubhub....good idea...

That offers some great writing opportunities...

King or Queen for a Day

I'm a fan of the King or Queen for a Day (as in "what would you do if you were") type of fan fiction. It would be interesting to see the types of responses from our diverse membership from different countries. Of course, the fiction would be entirely subjective, so you may have to add guidelines that include specific desired end results, like world peace or ending world hunger or something that works toward the Greater Good of Mankind as opposed to amassing the most money. Next contest is what?? Spooooky Fiction??

Looking forward to an announcement on what the next contest is. And thank you for having contests.....it is a lot of fun.

non-ficion

We're looking for ideas on a non-fiction contest. That will be what we run after this next one.

It will be a difficult decision

The response was fantastic and the quality is outstanding from everybody. I don't envy you guys one bit to have to decide on four winners, much less a single overall winner. I'm looking forward to the new fiction contest, too. It's not my standard field for writing, but I am a fan of the genre. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?
