Xomba Blog: Workshop Here We Come
posted September 15, 2009 - 10:39amHello again everyone,
First and foremost, Xomba would like to thank everyone who has entered our two contests! We have received some great entries and have really enjoyed reading them!
If you have not entered yet, why not? The earlier you enter, the more time you have to submit numerous entries. Why would you do that? The more entries you have, the better chance you have of winning one of the contests prizes! Don't know what the prizes are? Check out our Contest Page for full details on rules, prizes and how to enter. Don't forget the first contest ends October 9th so don't wait too long!
Are you on Facebook and/or Twitter? If not, it's probably a great idea to create an account! By creating an account, not only can you the begin to follow Xomba on both Twitter and Facebook, but you can also link back to your articles on Xomba to bring in some extra readers. Social Networks are a great way to get your articles out there! You will also be eligable for the individual contests that Xomba posts on both Twitter and Facebook. Want extra money? This is a great way to get it!
The Xomba Workshop is Thursday!! If you have any questions regarding Xomba, any at all, make sure to be at one of our two workshops this Thursday. The first workshop will begin at 11:00 am (EST) with the second one beginning at 7:30 pm (EST). On Thursday, September 17th, there will be a xombyte with a link to the workshop. All you have to do is follow the link, and you will then be able to speak to the Xomba Team live! We hope to see you there!
New to Xomba? Why don't you check out our Getting Started page. This page is designed specifically for you. Learn how to post content, what Xomba is all about, and much more!
Do you still have questions after reading the Getting Started page? Are you aware of our Help guide? This guide should help you with a lot of your unanswered questions. If you have any other ones after reading these guides, join us at the Xomba Workshop!
Just a reminder, Xomba is only able to support English content. We love all our foreign users but unfortunately Xomba can only accept articles in English. We love all our users articles and are very excited to read all the new content! Keep up the good work everyone!!
As always, if you have any questions feel free to contact us anytime. Have a great week!!

Looking forward to it..
Hope I can make it ..if not will be reading the transcripts. Thanks Xomba!!
I've taken a workshop before and it was
extremely valuable for me. I learned some tips that turned out to change the way I was posting - namely titles are super important, etc. I would encourage users to join in and ask questions!

On the west coast, we're still on daylight time. Do we have the standard three hour difference?
Don't want to miss the call......
Thanks for the clarification.

About the site
This site is an interesting one of which i believe is open to people with sound mind and good knowledge. I love the site.
I want to know apart from writing an article or contesting. Is there no other things u can do on the site, like meeting and chating with new friends to share views about a particular idea or anything like entertainment segment.
I would realy love to know how i partispate in the workshop that is coming on thursday 17th of september.
Thanks.

I Tried to Apply for One of the TWO Grab Bag Slots, but ...
Abmox's category-listing program apparently rehd 'that one slot is full' as 'that there are no slots left to fill,' so the closest category I could specify was (something like) 'Writing Tips and Tricks.'
But I'm continuing to apply/whine for the second 'Grab Bag'-position.
