1.Contest

We have started a new contest on Xomba that rewards users for writing quality content that will be featured on our front page. The process is simple: If you read a Xombyte that you think deserves recognition, send us the link. We will choose 8 Xombytes throughout March and every author that gets chosen will receive a $30 Amazon Gift Card! The only rule is that you cannot nominate your own article, other than that have fun writing and we look forward to reading some great Xombytes!

2. Color/Font Changes

We have recently made color and font changes to Xomba. This is an ongoing process so don't be surprised if you continue to see things changing. We are always open to user feedback so feel free to drop us a line and let us know what you think.

3. Page Rank and Profile Advertising

As most of you know, getting ranked higher on search engines will increase the traffic to your content drastically. Search engines assign a page rank to websites and the higher your page rank, the higher your ranking within that search engine. Now, you are probably wondering what you can do to help get your page rank higher. The answer is to advertise your profile link around the internet. Your profile link is the url that takes you directly to your profile (example:http://www.xomba.com/user/yourusername). Generating links to your profile will get your profile a higher page rank which will get your Xombytes and Xomblurbs ranked higher in search engines. So whether you are adding a signature to an email or commenting on a blog, make sure to include a link to your Xomba profile page.

4. Article Marketing
We would like to give you the chance to take advantage of a unique opportunity to publicize your writing and build links to your profile. If you send us an article that is at least 400 words we can distribute that article, with a link to your profile, across the internet. This is a fast and effective way to draw more traffic to your Xomba profile and help increase your profile's page rank.
