Xomba Relevant Content - Does it Exist?

Take a look at the content being posted on Xomba. It can generally be classified into two groups.

Group one is relevant and authentic content. That is... postings which are worthy of reading.

Group two is obvious attempts at drawing hits in hopes of luring unsuspecting readers into clicking on adsense. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this approach as long as the author actually says something worth reading. I'm excluding the Xomblurbs here.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see this. Let's take a look at the top hit makers on Xomba and then decide for yourselves if you would find the posting worthy of your time.

Let me make one thing clear. This is not a hit on Xomba. It is a study of the people who post and perceived intentions.

Here we go with top listed Xombytes:

#1 - Two Girls One Cup - Watch the Video
The author actually said some pertinent things about the video. Users obviously wanted to see the video. Personally; I wouldn't waste my time.

#2 - Two Girls One Cup - Watch the Video
Another attempt to suck you in. Both so far link you to Youtube reactions to this video. Both draw huge numbers of readers. This one says much less than #1.

#3 - Vanessa Hudgens Pictures
That's exactly what you get. Three pictures worth less than a Google Image search. No content whatsoever.

#4 - Klara and Edda belly-dancing photos you've never seen anywhere(elton john should be shy)
How did this ever get past Xomba? There's absolutely nothing here! Could it be viewers are clicking on Google ads like crazy? I don't know.

#5 - Learn the Soulja Boy Dance
I really thought I'd finally see something worth reading. Then this guy espouses his $3,000 plus per month earnings. That's nice and we'd all like to be there; but I'm looking for content here.

OK... I've went through three pages of popular content. Most are Xomblurbs not even worth the time it took to post. Yet; they're getting the hits.

My Take: You post here for one of two reasons. You are wanting to really make some money or you want to say something significant. I've actually done a bit of both. If you want to read some posts with a little intelligence (and, in some cases, very little) then read my posts at:

Oh no; I just did it myself. DeDom and Chris Crow just keep on getting it done ... somehow without saying a thing!

In the Universal sense...

I've been studying the book and video for The Secret over the past month and applying its lessons to my own life. One of the shifts in my paradigm is how I approach what other people do. There are many things in this life I don't necessary approve of or agree with, but the way to effect change is not to be anti-those things, but be pro-things you prefer. When you hold "anti-" thoughts and feelings in your head, you actually give power to those things, which, in this case, empowers what you consider to be poor writing and will give rise to more of it. This is one of the reasons I've taken a break from submitting Xombytes and -blurbs. I want to make sure that I am going to write what is best for the greater good. It is easier (at least for me) to focus on creating superior content and making Xomba a superior website than it is to work against what one might perceive to be inferior content. Speaking of which, we should have an "attitude of gratitude" for that content which we may find less-than-worthy because it gives us a benchmark against which to gauge our own writing. Others mileage may vary. _______________________________________________________ "In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act."--George Orwell

Watching the content of the non-content

To me the most bizarre type of xomblurb is a link to videos that show not people watching the 'Two Girls' video, but the reactions of people watching the video. Soon we'll probably have people watching the people watching the people watching the video
