Xomba - The Fun Side

Like Everything else it does get funny out here at Xomba. No, it is not the site, it is a rare mix of users, situations and of course the English language.

The first time i answered a buddy request, rather approved a buddy request, i got a message; Congratulations, so and so is your buddy now. For all the logic and rational available at my disposal at that time i couldn't understand whether to jump with joy or cringe with fear, since i had no idea what to do with someone who had just become my buddy. Xomba, the site, was very happy that i had found a buddy, so i presumed that, what is good for Xomba, must be good for me.

Then there was a time when Xomba had reads, which indicated how many people had read a particular post. Very helpful for the writer and also to so many other users who didn't know what to write about. Whenever any topic would figure in the recent popular bytes and blurbs, all the users would scour the Internet and every possible page on the net concerning the topic would find it's way to Xomba. Never had so many people been thinking about the same thing at the same time.

Even now, when i was just thinking that somehow the good articles are not finding favor with the other users comes this beautiful information that many people did not know how to vote. I wonder what possible inferences they could have drawn from the plus sign next to the article, i mean if it was red in color one could possibly think of doctor or an ambulance but otherwise...

Then there is the user friendly 'flag content' link. People use it often. No reasons, no comments about why they are flagging it. Sometimes the post is so docile and straight that i think people may be using the link to bookmark my post.

All said and done, these are the very things that provide relaxation and put a smile on our faces. It's all in a day's work.
