Brad Pitt Making It Right In New Orleans
Actor Brad Pitt kicked off the Make It Right initiative in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans by donating $5 million of his own money. Make It Right is Pitt's idea to help get New Orleans back on its feet again. Through The Pink Project, Pitt and other sponsors hope to have 150 new houses, all bought and paid for by private donations from anybody who wants to see New Orleans rise from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, erected by the end of Summer 2008. All donations are welcome and are tax deductible. Go to www.makeitrightnola.org to help rebuild part of the once and future beautiful city of New Orleans and learn more about The Pink Project.

The Greatest Document -- The United States Constitution
Of all the documents written over time – the Magna Carta, the Nicene Creed, Martin Luther's 95 Theses, the Treaty of Tordesillas, the American Declaration of Independence, the Rights of Man – the most malleable, amendable, important, and influential document in modern history has to be the United States Constitution. It has been the framework for dozens of constitutions written for other nations in the past two centuries and continues to be the working framework of all legal issues within the United States. Sadly, however, too few people realize exactly what is incorporated within its pages. Far too many people only have a slight understanding of the document that contains the original Bill of Rights and the basic freedoms guaranteed to the people by the government of the United States. For more information about how the legislative process works, go to the House of Representatives educational resources section at http://www.house.gov/house/Educate.shtml. Several websites on the internet offer the text of the Constitution of the United States, but the National Archives (www.archives.gov) website contains the history of the charters and many other interesting aspects of the principle document that every citizen in America should read.

Yngwie J. Malmsteen -- Greatest Guitar Slinger In The World
There is no one -- and I repeat, no one -- who plays guitar the way Yngwie J. Malmsteen plays guitar. From neo-classical to heavy metal shredding, Malmsteen reinvented the role of the modern guitar player in the 80's and 90's. "Echo Etude" is a sampling of his fluid vituosity, as is "Arpeggios From Hell." You can find quite a bit of Malmsteen on YouTube (www.youtube.com). The following link takes you directly to an amazing instrumental called "Blue."

Firewind -- Power Metal With A Greek Edge
Firewind is a power metal group from Greece. They are fluid, melodic, and loud. Think Whitesnake, only faster, with Yngwie Malmsteen on guitar. You can find them at their new official website (www.firewind.gr). They are definitely worth a listen. Their videos are all over YouTube (www.youtube.com) and they have a spot on MySpace (www.myspace.com)as well (www.myspace.com/firewind). The following link takes you to a blistering instrumental called "The Fire and the Fury."

Kamelot -- Think Kansas Mixed With Queensryche
Remember progressive rockers like Yes and Kansas? Well, that style of music is alive and well, touched with a heavy metal edge. Enter Kamelot, a cross between the theatrical sweeps and grandiose lyrics of Kansas and the intense progressive metal guitarwork of bands like Queensryche(the lead singer, Roy Kahn, sounds like Geoff Tate as well). You can check them out on MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/kamelot). YouTube has several of their videos, including "The Haunting" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKIjIpKExX0), which showcases the band's talent. You can check out their official internet website at www.kamelot.com as well. They're definitely worth a look...

Queensryche -- New Album From The Thinking Man's Metal Band
Queensryche came out of Seattle in the early 80's, borne on a different sound created by guitarist Chris DeGarmo and vocalist Geoff Tate. Thrust into the limelight with their concept album, "Operation: Mindcrime", which sold well over a million copies with virtually no airplay, these guys forged a reputation as a band with intelligent lyrics. Still around today, they have a new album out called "Take Cover." Check out the latest news, get merchandise, and tour dates on their internet website www.Queensryche.com. They reached their greatest commercial success with their fourth studio album, "Empire", which produced the #3 Billboard Hit "Silent Lucidity" and the video hit, "Empire".
