Thirteen presidents have attended a White House Correspondents Association dinner, starting with Calvin Coolidge in 1924. The dinner is held on the evening of the last Saturday in April at the Washington Hilton.

Wildfire in the Sierra Madre foothills overwhelmed 230 to 270 acres early this morning. The fire forced an evacuation of at least 100 homes and brought in hundreds of firefighters from around the region.
