Rakesh parked his car in the garage and went in to his house through the side door. He had had a rough day at work. The house was absolutely quite. As usual, he thought. His wife, Maria, must be in bed. He was at his wits end about the problem in hand. His relationship with Maria was going nowhere. They hardly talked to each other any more. She was always too preoccupied and they were growing distant by the day. There was no connection any more, emotional or physical. They had not had sex for almost six months or was it more? He decided he had to do something about it. Communication was the only way they could sort it out.

A plane crashes on an island. The only survivor is a man. There is enough food supplies and water on board to sustain the man. He goes all around but does not find any living thing other than a donkey. The donkey follows the man to the site of the crash and continues to stay there. Many days pass by. One day the man starts feeling frustated sexually and decides to use the donkey for satisfying his urge. The moment he goes behind the donkey, the donkey realising what was going to happen kicks him. He tries it again and again with the same result. The man would not give up and days pass by.

I used to wonder what it would be like to be a mother. The big moment for me arrived one beautiful day in the month of July. I was in labor, in the hospital, and taken to the operating room for the caesarian section where I heard the first cry of my son in a state of semi consciousness.

I first heard about aliens from a TV program. Is it real? I did not believe it, but when I went through the contents of a cd – “touch the sky, touch the universe” I was really shocked to learn that there was an incident that happened in the city of Chicago wherein a “UFO” had been sighted by a research scientist. And they have also discovered the probability of existence of alien beings who visit earth on these “UFO’s”. They came to this conclusion when the phenomenon of crop circles began to appear alarmingly all over the globe with no reasonable explanation for them!

I have been reading books since my childhood. This habit of reading was instilled into me and my sisters by my father who himself is an avid reader. I remember as a child he used to bring comics, books etc. and read aloud to us at bedtime. I just loved that moment, the excitement of having another story being narrated and explained very patiently by my father! I would always look forward to those times!

I loved being a child!
I wish I could go back to that state of happiness and bliss!
Where all the worries and troubles were left to the parents to solve!
OH, what I wouldn’t give to have those feelings back again!

History is a witness to countless number of wars: - civil, religious, revolutionary, freedom struggles, and even world wars. These wars brought about radical and historic changes in the lives and lifestyle of the women trapped in them, forcing them to come out of their homes in order to earn money and bring food to the table, as the men were called out to the battlefield to fight for their country. History raves about the heroics of these men in war- however, few instances are mentioned in which female valor was displayed.

However, we often find that relationships become disagreeable after a certain period. What makes a relationship last? There is extensive research being carried out on this subject by social psychologists, who have concluded that there are a number of factors that influence us in choosing friends, falling in love and in establishing and trying to maintain close relationships.

When two people become acquainted, then developing friendship depends on the physical attractiveness of each member of the potential pair, their similarity on a variety of characteristics, and the extent to which they demonstrate reciprocity with respect to positive evaluations of one another.
