No. It should be very aquiet ... No, I know what you mean. G/L marriage is like riding a roller coaster.

Sure, people ride roller coasters all the time, and many are going to ride roller coasters in the future; but the government isn't going to give you a certificate claiming that you have all the rights- and priveliges of an astronaut just because you rode the roller coaster.

Just the same, the government's not going to give you the instant respect etc. of a married man or woman just because you live/sleep/party with another man or woman (respectively). True, the 'astronauts' (married couples) do experience the same thrill as the 'riders' (G/L couples), but the astronauts make the discoveries that the riders do not make.

To anyone saying, "They're humans too, and they deserve the same rights as everyone else," I agree; a gay man has as much right to marry a woman as a straight man has.

But we're not talking about the 'rights to do things,' we're talking about the 'rights to ceremonially pledge that you do things.' To churches and governments, that's a ceremonial pledge that "your children will only come from your intercourse with the other person."

Gay marriage--to them--is a suicide pact. They don't want you to die.

Personally as a straight person and I consider myself a Chrisitian....Yes why shouldn't they be authorized. I am so sick of the bible pushing people saying how wrong it is....the bible also states to love thy neighbor, not to cast the stone. I believe in God, but lets face it the original scriptures are long gone, those that are in the bible are from man, not from God himself. Gay and lesbian marriage is no harm to any person, we as humans will allow war, and other things in our lives to harm one anthor, even accept it as part of our daily lives, but we can't accept the love of two people because they are of the same sex. Who waved the wand and made us God? Judement will come upon once death so why are we doing the judging now. Let them marry and live a life of happiness, if it is wrong in Gods eyes he will either strike them down or they will pay the price upon their death, but that should be their choice. Personall I think God will welcome them as long as they are good and decent people that believe in him.

You ask for it both ways for others? Prepare for it, both ways, for yourself!
