Yang Peiyi Not Pretty Enough For Opening Ceremony of Olympic Games

Seven year old Yang Peiyi, or should I say Yang Peiyi's voice, was chosen to sing the Chinese National Anthem at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Beijing. At the last minute, chinese officials decided that she wasn't pretty enough to appear, so they found a prettier girl to lip sing. This poor little girl has had to watch someone else take the credit and get tons of media attention for her voice. What message is this sending?
