Yottie was fictional?

Some years ago I did want to be some fictional character. Now? Not even mixed feelings. I have no desire at all to be a fictional character, least of all my favourite fictional character, my own creation, Yottie.

Initially Yottie was a pseudonym I used on a local mobile chat zone (mxit). Then the inevitable happened. Da Yot developed his own character, loosely based on that of his creator. Very loosely. Then Yot took over. Yot and his creator were inseperable. Without the other, we were nothing. Da Yot was a shambling, rambling, insignificant beer-bellied, bearded hobo.(See http://www.redbubble.com/people/TonyFlanigan). Forever out looking for a scrap, Yot had his neighborhood in which he would hang out. At times hanging from a ceiling fan. To keep him out from under the table. I ((we)Yottie) took it upon themselves to keep the chicks in the 'hood "safe" from outsiders, and would generally come flying off the wall at (relatively) great(?) speed whenever a newbie to the 'hood tried making advances on the chicks. Some gals enjoyed this attention, and a few actually befriended yottie.:-)

Sadly, all good things come to an end. And yes, an end came to Yottie.

Yottie met Speggi.

And things were never the same again.

They got way better.

He ((we)I) started washing our face at least once a week, brushed hair, Found a set of false teeth, so that he (we) could brush teeth regularly, and stopped drinking (methylated spirits) altogether!

We even tried a career change, but being a dirty old man was a touch too close to the truth, and on occasion yottie was found masquerading as a geriatric stripper-cum-pole dancer. Eventually he was put out to pasture when I realized what he was doing to me. He was replaced, and I got control of my life again. In real life I am now with Yottie's Speggi. The real Speggi is way nicer than the chat-room one. This is the sad part for Yottie. He would never have had the guts to move on.
