Zune Players all crashing due to date related bug?

In what appears to be some strange date related bug, it seems that ALL the Zune media players in the world are crashing between 12 and 2am.

This is going to be very disappointing to kids that received this from Santa!

No statement has yet been released by Microsoft, and I would doubt there would be until they have identified the cause of the defect.

Its not clear whether they are crashing on UTC time or local time.
