PUBG: What Is It?
One of the only games and most popular esports titles to be familiar worldwide, PUBG hardly requires any introduction. This online multiplayer battle royale game is based on the Japanese Battle Royale (2000) film.
At par with other popular titles such as Defence of the Ancients (DotA) 2, Fortnite, League of Legends (LoL), and more, PUBG: Battleground changed the very face of online gaming. Popular betting site GGBET offers some of the best ways to score big on PUBG. With constant updates to improve gameplay, the newest addition to the gaming experience gives players another chance to get their chicken dinner after all.
PUBG: Comeback BR
Quite reminiscent of one of the most popular aspects of Call of Duty: Warzone, the newest and most exciting PUBG update provides a chance at redemption. The developers behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds have included the chance for players to make their comeback for a second round after dying during a match. It is great news for users tired of having to restart from the very beginning each time they are killed off.
As part of PUBG’s Update 12.2 patch notes, the Comeback BR component will only feature on PUBG’s latest 8×8 map, known as Taego, for now. In this update, only players killed off in the first Blue Zone phase in any Squad match on the Taego map can use this mechanic. Dead players will receive a fresh opportunity as they are revived and returned to a Comeback Arena. Like COD: Warzone’s Gulag mechanic, the comeback arena will host players who must battle it out and live long enough to get back to the Taego map via helicopter in phase 3.
As expected, the arena for comeback battles is kept independent from the ongoings on the mainland. Players do not compete for 1v1 against other players. They must continue looting for items and have to survive. They can be revived without having to kill anyone. Only those who died during the Blue Zone stage in this phase will be present during the mini-match.
The Comeback BR arena does not contain bots of knockdowns. Survivors will return to the main fight with all their loot. All kills and statistical records will be maintained, but the health and boost levels will be automatically reset. Moreover, at least one Squad member must survive in the main battle arena to ensure that a teammate returns from the Comeback arena.
Comeback Arena Alternative
Of course, the Comeback Arena is far from the players’ only chance for revival. The Taego map also offers Self AED, the world-loot object that allows players to revive by themselves without requiring the survival of a teammate. Users can find this item in Solo and Squad matches. The patch update also provides new weapons like the K2 5.56mm caliber AR and the MK12 5.56mm caliber DMR. You can also get a new mode of transport in the Pony Coupe.
The Comeback Kid of Esports
Despite political scandals and bans altogether, the game remains one of the top-rated titles in the online gaming world. With frequent tournaments and events, there is hardly any wonder behind the game’s popularity among Esports punters. Developers also prioritize ensuring greater survival chances while balancing it with edge-of-the-seat challenges. It leads to bettors having more freedom to bet and win big. PUBG truly is making its comeback among other popular Esports.
