Amala Paul is an Indian film actress and model who was born on 26 October 1991 in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. She is basically famous for her work in the South Indian Film Industry but Amala Paul Hindi dubbed movies are also very famous. Amala was born in a Christian family in Kerala to Paul Varghese and Annice Paul. Her brother, Abijith Paul, also showed up in films following Amala’s entrance into the film industry.
After showing up in supporting roles in the Malayalam movies Neelathamara and Veerasekaran in Tamil, she received basic praise for the portrayal of a questionable character in the movie, Sindhu Samaveli. Despite the disappointment of the movie, Amala became noted after playing the title role in Mynaa, accepting critical acclaim for her work. She completed her schooling at Nirmala Higher Secondary School, Aluva. After completing her schooling, she took a holiday to begin a career in movies but has since joined St. Teresa’s College in Kochi to pursue a B.A. degree in English. Her father had been entirely against Amala seeking an acting career but was forced to accept her decision with her brother, Abijith Paul, strongly backing her desire.

She later claimed she had performing arts in her, explaining that her mother was a singer and her dad was in theatre in college. Amala had changed her on-screen name to Anakha, on director Samy’s request, who mentioned that another actress, Amala, had already made her name popular. However, after the failure of her 2011 movie Sindhu Samaveli, she came back to her birth name since she felt that the replacement had brought her misfortune.
As early as 2011, when Amala was working with Deiva Thirumagal when she was romantically linked to director A. L. Vijay but denied that the pair were dating. The pair subsequently fell in love and announced in early 2014, that they were set to get married by mid-2014. On 7 June 2014, she got engaged to Vijay at Aluva in Kochi. The couple married on 12 June 2014 at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Hall, Chennai. In 2016, Amala and Vijay filed for a divorce after her in-laws did not agree. They were granted a divorce in February 2017.

She has been nominated for many awards and won numerous accolades including Edison Awards, Filmfare Awards South, Vijay Awards, 1st South Indian International Movie Awards, Asiavision Awards, and soon. She has appeared in numerous movies including Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu. (See below)
