Khan has won three Filmfare Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Independent Spirit Award Nomination. He is also the recipient of the 2011 Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian award in India. It is very difficult to choose ten of his finest films but nevertheless. 1. The LunchBox (2013)
LunchBox is one of the superb Irrfan Khan movies. It is an Indian epistolary romantic film written and directed by Ritesh Batra and produced by Guneet Monga, Arun Rangachari, Anurag Kashyap. It was released on 19 May 2013 starring Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film was jointly produced by various studios including DAR Motion Pictures, UTV Motion Productions, Sikhya Entertainment, NFDC (India), ROH Films, ASAP Films (France), and the Cine Mosaic (United States). The film was screened at International Critics’ Week at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and later won the Critics Week Viewers’ Choice Award, also known as the Grand Rail d’Or. It was shown at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. The film was a box-office success.
2. Paan Singh Tomar (2012)
Paan Singh Tomar is a movie based on the true story of the athlete Paan Singh Tomar. A soldier in the Indian Army, he wins a gold medal at the Indian National Games but is forced to become a notorious dacoit due to some circumstances. The film was released on 2 March 2012 starring Irrfan, Mahi Gill, and Vipin Sharma. The movie is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. It is also one of Irrfan Khan’s best movies and is acclaimed as a super hit at the box office. The film won Best Feature Film and Best Actor at the 60th National Film Awards in 2012. Paan Singh Tomar is really a good movie to watch. This movie achieved critical acclaim among Indian critics.

Maqbool is an Indian crime drama film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Bobby Bedi. It was released on 30 January 2004 starring Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Pankaj Kapoor, Om Puri, and Naseeruddin Shah. It was a brilliant adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, with Mumbai’s underworld as its backdrop. Maqbool is the right-hand man of Jahangir Khan, a powerful underworld Don. Pankaj Kapoor was awarded the National Film Award for best supporting actor for his portrayal of a robust Don. The movie gains pace with two corrupt policemen predicting that Maqbool will soon take over the reins of Mumbai’s Underworld from Abba Ji. This film receives positive reviews from critics. The film did not perform remarkably at the box office but won director Visual Bhardwaj international acclaim.
5. Life in a…Metro (2007)
Life in a…Metro is an Indian drama film directed by Anurag Basu, set in Mumbai featuring an ensemble cast of Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Irrfan Khan, Shiney Ahuja, Kay Kay Menon, Kangna Ranaut, Sharman Joshi, and Konkona Sen Sharma. The film was released on 11 May 2007. The film narrates the individual lives of nine people living in Mumbai and deals with topics like Extramarital affairs, the sanctity of marriage, and love. The film was critically acclaimed for its story and screenplay. The film’s general plot and a number of characters are based on two classic films, The Apartment, and Brief Encounter. The music is composed by Pritam with lyrics by Sayeed Quadri.
6. Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011)
Yeh Saali Zindagi is a Hindi Romantic thriller directed by Sudhir Mishra and produced by Prakash Jha and starring Irrfan Khan, Arunoday Singh, Chitrangada Singh, Aditi Rao Hydari. The film was released on February 4, 2011, to positive critical acclaim and was moderately successful at the box office. Arun is a Chartered Accountant who works for Mr. Mehta and helps him run his illegal business. Arun is in love with Priti, but she falls for Shyam who was introduced to her by Arun. This movie is all about two gangsters who commit a blunder and get their love entangled with their criminal deeds. It is one of the romantic Irrfan Khan movies and a good movie to WATCH.

It was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards which include the Best Picture-Drama and the Best Director and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score.
