ਕੈਰੀ ਆਨ ਜੱਟਾ is one of the most liked Punjabi comedy movies I have ever seen, which was directed by Smeep Kang and produced by GurFateh Films, Sukha production Sippy Grewal Productions. It was released on 27 July 2012 starring Gippy Grewal, Mahie Gill, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, Rana Ranbir. The movie was one of the best Punjabi Movies of the year 2012. The story revolves around Jass as Gippy Grewal who falls in love with Mahie at a friend’s marriage. She only wants to marry someone who doesn’t have a family or is an orphan like herself. So to gain the love of Mahie, Jass pretends he is an orphan and she falls in love with him.
After this, Jass marries Mahie without telling his father. Furthermore, the audience has to wait and watch the movie. It is a superb comedy movie which I personally watch with my friends and family together. I liked the soundtrack of the movie which includes “O Sweety”, “Mar Jawan”, and the title song “Carry On Jatta”. The movie was a box office hit and grossed ₹29 crores. The acting of Gippy Grewal and Binnu Dhillon was appreciated by the audiences. I assure you that you must watch that movie if you are looking for nonstop entertainment. (must watch a movie)
2. Jinhe Mere Dil Luteya (2011)
ਜੀਹਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਲੁੱਟਿਆ is one of the best Punjabi comedy movies directed by Mandeep Kumar and produced by Batra Showbiz Pvt. Ltd. It was released on 29 July 2011 starring Gippy Grewal, Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, Binnu Dhillion. The story reveals the dashing boy Yuvraj and the handsome rebel Gurnoor studied at Punjabi University, Patiala.
Until they are bedazzled by the sexy and charming, lovely Noor, whose Dad is very wealthy. Both Gurnoor’s and Yuvraj’s dads tell the boys to make her fall in love with them. They try their own efforts to make her fall in love. The comedy opens out. This movie is a must-watch movie. I really enjoyed it a lot while watching a movie with my family. The soundtrack of the movie was awesome. The movie was a hit at the box office and grossed over 12.5 crores and is one of the best Indian Punjabi Movies. It is a complete family entertainer movie.
3. Lucky Di Unlucky Story (2013)
Lucky Di Unlucky Story is a Punjabi movie directed by Smeep Kang and produced by Gurfateh Films & Sippy Grewal Productions. It was released on April 26, 2013, starring Gippy Grewal, Surveen Chawla, Jaswinder Bhalla, Samiksha Singh, Binnu Dhillon, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol, and Jackie Shroff. It is one of the best Punjabi comedy movies of 2013 which became a blockbuster and grossed over ₹14.75 crores at the box office.
The director copied the script of the movie from the Tamil blockbuster Panchathanthiram starring Simran and Kamal Hassan. In this movie, Lucky, who is a happy bachelor taken on a vacation for his birthday by his three friends, Sidhu, Dimpy, Brar, a murder happens and the four friends are the main suspects. Then a funny session of events occurs. Then they finally find out the real victim and the real murderer. It is one of the best Punjabi comedy movies by Gippy Grewal.
4. Bhaji in Problem (2013)
ਭਾਜੀ ਇਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਬਲਮ is a Punjabi comedy movie directed by Smeep Kang, who had earlier been directed by movies like Lucky Di Unlucky Story and carry on Jatta. The movie was produced by Ashvini Yardi and Akshay Kumar and released on November 15, 2013. The movie features Gippy Grewal, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Ragini Khanna, Misha Bajwa, B.N. Sharma and Khushboo Grewal.
The movie also features actors Akshay Kumar, Om Puri, and cricketer Harbhajan Singh. It is one of the best Punjabi comedy movies of 2013 and was declared a super hit at the box office which grossed over ₹17 crores. The movie was made under the budget of ₹5 crores and won PTC Punjabi Films Awards for Best Dialogues, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Supporting Actor. Must watch a movie.
5. Double Di Trouble (2014)
Double Di Trouble is a Punjabi movie directed by Smeep Kang and produced by Mukta Arts Entertainment. It was released on 29 August 2014 starring Dharmendra, Gippy Grewal, Minisha Lamba, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Kulraj Randhawa, Poonam Dhillon, B.N. Sharma, Karamjit Dhillon. The movie is based on Shakespeare’s popular and well-known play, The Comedy of Errors. In this movie, a father and son discover their mirror images in another country.
