Despite comedy being his main orientation, Yadav has had leading character roles in films like Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon, Ladies Tailor, Mirch, Meri Patni Aur Woh, Hello! Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain, Main, Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama.Yadav was awarded the Janpad Ratna Award. For the film Jungle, he won the Sansui Screen Best actor award in a Negative Role along with a nomination for the Screen Best Actor award.

Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh is one of the Best Rajpal Yadav movies. It is a Hindi romantic comedy film, directed by Chandan Arora and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. It was released on October 7, 2005, starring Rajpal Yadav, Varun Badola, Rituparna Sengupta, and Kay Kay Menon. The movie is about a short yet qualified middle-aged man named Mithilesh played by Rajpal Yadav and his insecurities about his height and personality when he gets married to Veena played by Rituparna Sengupta. He becomes jealous of his friend Saleem, played by Varun Badola, Veena’s childhood friend Akash, played by Kay Kay Menon, and others who he claims have an infatuation with his wife. The hidden truth is revealed at the end and brings the couple together.

Hello! Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain is a Bollywood film starring Rajpal Yadav and Preeti Mehra in the lead roles. It was released on January 15, 2010, and directed by Dilip Shukla, and produced by Nazim Rizvi. It was released under the banner of Emaar Films International Unit and Whispering Shadows Entertainment. The music of this film was composed by Surendra Sodhi and Vijay Verma. The cinematography of the movie was done by Tapan Basu. It is also one of the best Rajpal Yadav movies and has done good business in small cities especially in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh.

Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon is a 2003 Bollywood film directed by Chandan Arora and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. It was released on 17 October 2003 starring Antara Mali and Rajpal Yadav. The story follows a poor, uneducated woman (Antara Mali) who is a huge fan of the famous Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit to the extent that she aspires to become the new Madhuri Dixit by attempting to join the Bollywood film industry. The film was shot in Mumbai, India. The film received decent reviews upon release, with critics praising the direction of the film. This movie is also from the top Rajpal Yadav movies.  Rajpal Yadav received the Yash Bharati Award for this film.

Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain is a historical-drama film set amidst the Bhopal disaster that occurred in India on 2-3 December 1984. It is directed by Ravi Kumar and produced by Ravi Walia. It was released on 5 December 2014 starring Martin Sheen, Mischa Barton, Rajpal Yadav, Kal Penn, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Fagun Thakrar, Vineet Kumar, and Lisa Dwan. Benjamin Wallfisch composed the film’s music. Kumar got the idea of making a film based on the Bhopal disaster after he read a book based on it. Shot over a period of 18 months, it was originally slated for a late 2010 release. However, the lack of responses from distributors kept on delaying the release.  The film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the actor’s portrayal of their respective characters but called Barton’s characters unnecessary. The Madhya Pradesh government exempted the film from paying tax. It is one of the top Rajpal Yadav movies and his performance was appreciated by the audience.

Hungama is a Bollywood comedy film co-written and directed by Priyadarshan. It was released on 1 August 2003 starring Paresh Rawal, Aftab Shivdasani, Akshaye Khanna, Rajpal Yadav, and Rimi Sen. It was an adaptation of Priyadarshan’s own 1984 film Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, which itself was based on Charles Dicken’s play, The Strange Gentleman. The Rajpal Yadav movies are super entertaining. In this film, Anjali has run away from a small village to get a job in Mumbai, where she hopes to make enough money to pay off the debts her family owes their landlord or else she will have to marry the landlord’s son, Raja. Once she arrives in the city, the only way she can find cheap lodging is by pretending to be married to a total stranger, Nandu, an aspiring musician, an arrangement thought up by a local milkman and fixer, Bhola. Anjali and Nandu don’t get along but must make do to retain their low-rent accommodation.

Chup Chup ke (English: Quietly) is a Bollywood film directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The story of the film is adapted from the Malayalam film Punjabi House (1998), with a tagline of “Love meets confusion meets Love”. The film was released on 9 June 2006 by Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in their third film together with actors Neha Dhupia, Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Shakti Kapoor, Om Puri, and Anupam Kher. The film was above-average at the box office. All lyrics written by Sameer, all music composed by Himesh Reshammiya.

Dhol (English: Drum) is a Bollywood comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Satish Kaushik. It was released on September 21, 2007, starring Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Kunal Khemu, and Tanushree Dutta. The story borrows subplots from the 1990 Malayalam film In Harihar Nagar written by Siddique-Lal. The film received mixed responses from critics as well as the public upon its release, but it was a moderate box office success. Pankaj, Sameer, Martand, and Gautam are bound together by their ambition to make it big in life with the least effort possible. Each one tries his hand at finding a shortcut to success but ends up being in even deeper trouble.

Khatta Meetha (English: Sweet and Sour) is a Hindi Comic Satire film written and directed by Priyadarshan. It was released on July 23, 2010, starring Akshay Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Urvashi Sharma, and Rajpal Yadav. The film is a remake of Priyadarshan’s previous Malayalam film Vellanakalude Nadu(1988), scripted by Sreenivasan. The film was produced by Shree Asthavinayak Cine Vision Ltd and Hari Om Productions. This one is also from the Rajpal Yadav movies which gives too much to the public. The film revolves around a struggling road constructor, Sachin Tichkule. He dreams big, but there seems to be no chance of his dreams coming true as he doesn’t have any money to bribe the bureaucracy. His family has lost faith in him, telling him to earn money.

Ladies Tailor is a Bollywood movie directed by Udyakanth. It was also one of the good movies of Rajpal Yadav which was released on July 7, 2006, starring Rajpal Yadav. This movie is also from the best Rajpal Yadav movies.  Kim Sharma, Mukesh Rushi, Razak Khan, Preeti Bhutani, Sonika Gill, Dinesh Hingoo, Manoj Palwa, Vikram, Hina Tasleem. In this film, Chander is the only tailor in his colony. Though talented, he is very lazy. He dreams of becoming big and lives like a superstar. The music was composed by Nishadh Chandra.

Malamaal Weekly is a Bollywood comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Suresh Balaje. It was released on 10 March 2006 starring Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav, Reema Sen, and Ritesh Deshmukh. The storyline has similarities with Waking Ned Devine. These Rajpal Yadav movies are also from super hits. The film was rated poorly by most critics in India but was a surprise hit among cinema-goers. The film was remade in Telugu as Bhagyalakshmi Bumper Draw, in Kannada as Dakota Picture, and in Malayalam as “Aamayum Muyalum”. The film takes place in the impoverished village of Laholi where following droughts, most of the villagers’ possessions are conveyed to the local Thakurani  Karamkali. One of the few entertainments the villagers can afford is the lottery, Malaamal Weekly.(Malaamal in Hindi means ‘rich’).
