In this article, I will answer that question for you.
But before that, you must know that many SIM card providers, don’t offer you the phone number until it is activated.
How to Check Your Own SIM Number
1. Call somebody
Despite being the stupidest suggestion, the easiest and fastest way to know your number is to call somebody. May it be a relative, a friend, any stranger or the old lady in the “How may I help you” section. Just ask for their mobile number and give it a call. As the other person’s phone rings, your number will be displayed on their screen. Just write your number down and there you have it.
Well, do make sure that you are calling someone close by, cause you need the number immediately. Also, try to delete the number from the stranger’s phone if possible, just for security reasons. You can also do it, by texting somebody. For a little fun, just type in a random number and send a text asking to text you back with your phone number.
2. Check Number on Android/ios device
Blessed with thousands of features, our android or ios devices also have a feature to store our phone number. However, it also depends on whether your carrier allows it or not. Well, there is nothing wrong with trying.
Android-
- First, go to Settings> About Device/phone.
- Now scroll down and click on Status.
- Under Status search for My phone number.
- If you can’t spot it, search for SIM status. You will find your phone number there.
Ios-
- For ios device, simply Go to Settings> Phone.
- Here, click on My number to see your Mobile number.
For iPads–
- First, Open the Setting app.
- Now scroll down to About.
- Under About, search for Cellular Data number. This section will hold your Phone number.
3. Check Packaging
If you bought a brand new SIM, and still have the packaging of it, you can find the number for that SIM card. The number will be printed on the back of either the package or the card. Its usually on a sticker, so you can also paste it on your phone.
But that depends on your SIM card carrier. That is because nowadays many SIM card providers let you choose your phone number, so you won’t be able to find any sticker with a Phone number on it.
4. Call company designated number
Every Telecommunication company has its own assigned number to check the phone number designated to that SIM card. All you have to do is to call or message to that given number. This will trigger a computer-generated response, which will send you the SIM’s phone number via text message. For this, you can either check the internet or check the list below.

And since you need information about your SIM card, simply call your carrier and ask for your SIM’s phone number. You might have to verify yourself as the rightful owner of the SIM card but it is the most guaranteed way to solve this problem.

Do keep in mind that from where I belong, these numbers are toll-free so, I don’t have to pay any call charges. However, things might be different for you.
