the flash review

Mini Intro: The Flash Review – Season 1: The Flash will be the first comic book show I review and the reason for that is that comic book shows have a lot of episodes and if you don’t watch them as they are coming out, you have a lot of catching up to do. Also, comic book shows tend to be freak of the week kind of shows and while that can be a lot of fun, I am not a huge fan of the formula that’s one of the reasons it’s taking me so long to get through hours.

the flash review

Flash is another DC comic book property on the CW like an arrow. Flash as it went on simply got better and better and better throughout the season. Flash Barry Allen is a really likable forensic scientist and crime scene investigator for the Central City Police Department. He gets nailed by a lightning bolt because the particle accelerator malfunctions during its public unveiling. Awakening after a nine-month coma, it describes Barry’s special nature as “ Meta-Human”.

Flash is identified as Central City’s hero. In the past decade, he started dealing with the reverse flash, and then every episode of Flash just gets better and better and better. All the characters in the show that I didn’t think I would really end up liking. I ended up loving Cisco. It’s like the most relatable one to me. Check out what else and I think about the season 1st-” The Flash Review”.

What do I conclude after watching Flash- Season 1 (2014)?- Story+ My Opinion

the flash review

You all really have to hear to see how I feel about the first season of The Flash. It’s my favorite superhero theme TV series. The series is just all-around fun and has so much fan service for long-time readers. The flash must be said is different so the flash tells the story of Barry Allen as he becomes the flash in starts fighting crimes with the help of his star labs buddies. The show also follows Barry as he explores his powers and tries to figure out the truth behind his mom’s murder.

Flash is very different from Arrow. Flash makes us feel like watching a comic book. The flash was special for me because the freak of the week aspect of it didn’t bother me at all. Most of the episodes of the flash are very entertaining on their own. It’s always fun enough to keep me interested and keep me watching even if it doesn’t keep me guessing.  I think it’s one of the best shows of its kind. They know what it is and it just does it well.

I also thought that the show did a great job introducing new characters from week to week without overdoing it or making it feel rushed. We’ve seen all sorts of big characters, the season from DC slash the last universe like Captain Cold, Heatwave, Gorilla Grodd, Weather Wizard, Pied Piper, trickster which was played by Mark Hamill and will reprise his role from the original Splash TV Series. One of my favorite characters introduced this season-Firestorm. The firestorm was being played out by Robbie Amell, aka Stephen Amell’s cousin. Stephen Amell is playing the role of “Arrow” aka “Oliver Queen” in the Arrow season. Both the actors are playing completely different characters on TV.

In the end, of course, there were many other characters but the most notable character of the season besides the flash himself is Doctor Wells, or as he would later become known as Reverse Flash. The whole season basically focused around the doctor wells as a reverse flash because Harrison Wells is responsible for killing Barry’s mother Nora Allen and I must say that they handled it very well. What I mean by that is they handle the setup in the reveal of reverse flash really well. The whole first half of the season was a setup giving up hints as to who or who may not have reversed the flash.

Then there was a twist. Dr. Wells killed or stole the real doctor wells genetics or whatever you wanted to call it with future technology so that he would look exactly like him. There is a lot more to it to explain why Dr. Wells went to kill barry’s mother and why he disguises himself over Dr. Wells but I’m not going to get into that because if I do, then your interest in watching the series will be lost.

Another thing I really like in the season finale episode is when Doctor Wells told Cisco that he is a meta-human but doesn’t know it yet which was awesome because again as comic readers know Cisco became a superhero by most recently on the Justice League of an American team. The finale episode was also very hard to land, really showing how much everyone in Barry’s life means to him and vice versa. I really have no major complaints with the finale or the season.

I do have one complaint that we have to wait until next year to see Barry stop the wormhole or tornado think. Bringing all my thoughts to a close, I loved this first season of Flash all the way through because again it was just a fun show to watch with so much fan service for flash fans. I like it more than Arrow which I thought personally. This is all about The Flash Review. Scroll down to check public opinion about Flash Ist Season. The Flash review is very positive from people’s side.

The Flash follows Barry Allen, the fastest man alive after a scientific experiment goes wrong. Barry was struck by the lighting, giving him super-speed powers. Working with style labs, he used his speed to stop people with powers causing harm! The show is so entertaining and the special effects look incredible for a TV show. The flash looks more enjoyable and less pretentious.

Really likable side characters:

  • Joe West

  • Police officer
  • Great actor!
  • Really charismatic and likable
  • Surrogate father to Barry
  • Iris west’s father
  • Cisco:

  • STAR lab nerdy scientist
  • Smart science guy
  • Also gets infectiously giddy
  • Makes powerful gadgets
  • Youngest member of STAR labs
  • Iris West:

  • Unprofessional
  • Joe West’s daughter
  • Grew with Barry
  • Self-involved
  • Innocent
  • Barry fancies the pants off her
  • Petty
  • Dramatic
  • Natural and Simple
  • Captain Cold:

  • Played by Wentworth Miller
  • Cheesy villain
  • Clearly loves being a smug
  • Miller from Prison Break
  • All of the ice puns

Public Opinion: Flash Review Season 1- 2014:

Note: Public opinion may include my friends, seniors, juniors, schoolmates,  collegemates, hostels, strangers, and some movie lovers’ opinions. In this review, the public expresses their own view about the Flash season in their own language. Also, if you want to add your viewpoints in this Flash Review, then send me an email by writing a review at You can also send me the review of any TV series or movies, after reviewing it by the team, your review will be published along with your names if you want.

First Public Opinion:

I absolutely LOVED the Flash, I watched it twice already (to get all the hints/nods and easter-eggs like the justice league “poster” in the police headquarters, and the appearance of Hawk Girl in the final episode) I didn’t mind all the faux science stuff, because it’s a comic book show, if it wasn’t unreal then it wouldn’t be as fun to watch… And the episodes where he is told to run is really because [SPOILER ALERT] Harrison Wells want him to run faster every time, he is “training” him to be faster and faster.

At first, he just wants Barry to run as fast as he can to see the potential of him and then when the potential is measured, he wants to maximize that potential, to the point of him creating the time jump. You could figure out (with some detective skills) that Wells killed Barry’s mother pretty fast in the show, because the last words Barry heard before his mother was killed was “RUN BARRY, RUN” and every time Wells wanted Barry to go faster, he said the same thing, I think this was a “trigger”, to get him to run even faster. Thanks for Flashing the review.

Second Public opinion:

Oh my God, I LOVE The Flash! I love the first two seasons of Arrow, but The Flash is better. I love that it kinda takes the piss out of itself, it makes it more relatable. Cisco’s dorky sweetness and fangirliness are really integral to that I reckon. I’ve never read any comics (I really should) but I have someone who tells me all the subtle hints throughout, which I love. As much as I do love when some superhero adaptations explore the dark elements, I think it’s also important to remember the heart that is there, which is something I think The Flash and the first Ep of Supergirl have done well. Flash is still better so far. But I love that it can do that without being corny. This whole sense was so, so heartbreaking to watch, I still feel so bad for Berry. Can’t wait for season 2. Also, thanks for the review.

Third Public opinion:

I feel like because of what this show is, the cast they pick and the creative team behind it, the trailers they have posted tell you everything you need to know upfront. So watching the actual episode doesn’t reveal anything comic book readers or Arrow fans didn’t already know. It’s through and through all the best stuff from Arrow but done in the light of day with a lot of humor. That’s because Barry Allen is a much more positive person than Oliver Queen.

If you haven’t seen Arrow at all then all I can say is that Grant Gustin has the perfect energy for a character like Barry Allen. This show is all about his origin story. When the flash is able to draw enough energy from the speed force, he can travel forward and backward in time. Time travel powers combined with the ability to outrun Superman automatically make you an A-list superhero. The Flash we met in the first episode is just starting to figure things out and put his own version of putting Team Arrow together. I guess we can call them Team Flash, all the supporting characters are great that also include Detective pretty boy played by Rick Cosnett. I feel like because his name is Edward Thawne, everyone is going to go into the episode with a certain expectation and still come out surprised. Thanks for the review.

Fourth Public opinion:

Many tons of critics watch and review the show.  It’s the highest-rated show on the entire CW along with Arrow.  And yes, they are real critics, more than you’ll ever be.  I mean you barely watched it and have the nerve to critique it.  And people do expect a lot from a television show, just look at great dramas like Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, The Wire, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, etc.  People have standards for television nowadays.  And while Flash isn’t on the level of those shows, it’s absolutely great entertainment and has a story very worthy of the DC comics.  Daredevil is a better superhero show, and yet I can still recognize Flash as good television. And the CGI is fantastic. As for the sound, I’ve seen every episode and the sound is great to me, so I am not sure what the hell other people are talking about there.  I know people love this show and recognize how awesome it is and that’s good enough for me. Thanks Mohit for the Flash review. keep it up bro. Good Luck.

Fifth Public Opinion:

I’m going to say that watching season 1 and 2 of arrow it’s great. 3 is meh. The first 6 episodes of flash are the same: new villain Barry stops villain love interest back story. Then about episode 7 I think (maybe 6 I’m not sure it’s been a while) captain cold comes in and from there on it gets better every episode. Time travel is simple basically in an alternative universe and 126 years in the future the flash and reverse flash hated each other and fought. The reverse flash time travels and kills Barry’s mother when Barry was 11. But reverse flash realizes that without Barry becoming the flash (because of his mother dying) he lost his powers so he creates the flash so he can regain his powers and get to the future and back to his family. Reverse flash is a great villain and the show had me in tears like 6 times lol. Thanks for the review.

Sixth Public Opinion:

The only negative I have with the show is the date on the future newspaper. It shows the date as 2024, which is only ten years into the future, but from what Eobard Thawne said, was that Cisco, and other people he killed, had been dead for centuries. So the date of 2024 doesn’t make any sense. Unless Eobard went back to 2024 to kill the first flash, as other speedsters were causing him trouble, and Barry was the grandaddy of the speed force. But then we hear Eobard talking to Barry Allen when he’s unconscious, and it sounded like they were arch enemies. So that theory is out. I hope they explain the date unless CW is just stating they hope the show lasts for ten years. I don’t know. It confuses me.

Seventh Public Opinion:

The Flash was so addicting!! Like, I could not stop! I had to know what was going to happen next! And oh my god, that finale. I was sobbing when he told his dying mother that he loves her. Man, that scene hit me hard!
